Karen L. West, author of Tommy The Squirrel Wants to be Human Karen L West was born and raised in Indiana and currently resides in Indianapolis with her cat, Mocha.  She loves camping, cross country skiing, kayaking, woodworking, and reading.  Her greatest passion, however, might be traveling the world and taking pictures along the way.  This is how she met Tommy.  He climbed on her bicycle seat to eat a peanut during a camping trip to the Bruce Peninsula.  Karen has future plans for at least 3 more Tommy the Squirrel books and ideas for dozen of other books for children.  The future might even hold a murder mystery book.
